June 11, 2011 /Sony Japan today unveiled the VPL-HW30ES SXRD 3D projector, which comes with significantly reduced 3D Crosstalk thanks to the 240Hz SXRD panel drive system.
It will work with the new Sony’s newer and lighter active shutter 3D glasses, (18 grams lighter than the previous model).
The projector features a 70,000:1 contrast ratio, a 1,300 lumens of brightness and picture adjustment settings.
Sony say the new TDG-PJ1 glasses can be charged in 30 minutes to provide 30 hours of continuous watching.
The VPL-HW30ES will begins shipping in July 2011 for $3,700 and is available through Sony’s network of A/V specialists and custom installers.
The TDG-PJ1, active shutter 3D glasses, $130 and TMR-PJ1, 3D transmitter, $80 are also available at that time.
