sony cyber-shot dsc-h10 (silver)

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 is a very capable camera. Sony’s Cyber-shot is a long running series of cameras and is very dependable to do a good job for you. This camera especially excels in taking photographs outdoors. The camera is on the lighter side of all of the other mega-zoom class cameras, which most users love. It also accomplishes the difficult task of feeling like a compact camera.

Standout Features

• 3 in. LCD display
• Comfortable
• 8.1 Megapixels

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 is very comparable to its predecessor the DSC-H3, the only real noticeable difference is the difference in display sizes, the H3 at a 2.5 inch display, and the H10 at a 3 inch display. While that is a very unimportant feature for picture quality, it does appeal to the basic user because the common feeling is, bigger is better, right?

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 was very comfortable to hold and to take pictures with, it’s grip is very accommodating to big and small hands alike. Also, at 10.3 ounces with battery and memory card inserted, it is fairly lightweight.

The 8.1 megapixels also featured on this camera make for some very detailed photo taking. This camera has a little bit of lens distortion at times which can be frustrating.

Summary of Reviews

All in all everyone liked the camera for the price that it is sold at. However they were a little disappointed quite often with the picture quality, except for the outdoor picture quality. Almost all of the reviews commented on the design and how the grip was very comfortable and accommodating.

Summary

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 is not a huge upgrade from its predecessor the H3, however it does bring good value for the price you’ll pay. The only real fault that this camera had was the sporadic picture quality. The general consensus was that there are better cameras out there, however, if this camera fits your budget it is not a bad buy.
