NZXT Unveils Bunker USB Locking Device

Here's a cool way to lock your gaming mouse and keyboard to the PC.

Monday NZXT revealed an interesting gadget that's ideal for LAN parties and college students: the Bunker. This new secured expansion for PC gamers and enthusiasts provides a means to lock USB peripherals to the PC while they're still connected, preventing theft and possibly even "accidental" unpluggings during intense gaming sessions.

The Bunker is rather simple in nature: it slides into any open 5.25-inch drive bay and provides four additional USB (likely 2.0) ports for expanded connectivity. Covering the ports is a durable, swinging door with a slit at the bottom granting passage for peripheral USB cords. The door uses a 20-key lock system, located on the left, for maximum security. That's it.

"We place a great deal of importance on portability and security," said Johnny Hou, Founder and Chief Designer at NZXT. "Whether you’re transporting your rig to a LAN party or would like more peace of mind in the dorm, Bunker will ensure that your peripherals and media remain secure."

Of course, if someone was really desperate for your Cyborg R.A.T. 9 gaming mouse or some other high-dollar peripheral, they could simply whip out a knife and cut the cord. Nevertheless, NZXT's cool USB Bunker will be available this March for a meager $24.99.
