Canon Xeed SX80 projector

I must admit that projectors are not received the attention they deserve in our labs, but now that is about the can change. As a first review of the new year, a review in depth the projector for those interested in serious Home Theater visuals. The trademark look is Canon, a well-known name on the market, and that the model is one of the highest end pieces from Xeed line. The Xeed SX80 has requested, and an LCD projector, which includes a special panel LCOS. I do not expect to see new LCOS technology in action.

Design and features
A brilliant Pearl White finish for chassis makes this model in the top category of good lookers. In terms of shape, there are no harsh extremities curved up table into table back systematically with centrally located buttons at the end of the curve. The Canon logo is embossed silver naked on the top panel. The front side is thick and gray. and this model has a side panel inputs. The lens in the front has a plastic lid detaches completely. I prefer a lid attached by some cord etc., as they lost sometimes. Tilt-up lever regularly placed in the Centre of the facade, and need to increase or decrease the drive way.

The links offered are an HDMI 1.3 port, a DVI-I, VGA 15-pin VGA output, one, a 3-RCA input, an s-video, composite and a DSub 9-pin serial port. The show uses LCOS technology, which is a hybrid between DLP and LCD (sort of). It is a newer method, and the full version of LCOS are liquid crystal on Silicon. It uses liquid crystals, although they coincide with a reflective substrate material, acting as mirrors as the DLP. The liquid crystals open and close and the light is either reflected by the mirror underneath or blocked. This determines the brightness of each pixel and generates the image. The main advantage of this tech is that the space between pixels is very minimal, and the image is smooth as silk. Thus, our projector has a very large chassis, but I'm waiting for some really good quality image of this pricey baby.

Full specs are in the meeting of the pic, although significant are: brightness is 3000 ANSI lumens, contrast is 900: 1, resolution is 1400 x 1050, native 4: 3 and the engine light is on a three-panel LCOS 230W NSH lamp. The lamp life is 2000 hours, 2500 in eco mode. There is a Tablet speaker rated power 1 watt meager production. I believe that these models should come without a speaker, one watt is much less.
